Antioxidant SONOX 215 is a kind of compound component including antioxidants SONOX 1010 and antioxidant SONOX 168. It is soluble in benzene, hexane, and ethyl acetate but insoluble in water. It has a good synergistic of antioxidant SONOX 1010 and SONOX 168 and can retard heated degradation and oxidative degradation of polymeric substances during processing and in end applications. It is used in polyolefins and olefin-copolymers such as polyethylene, polypropylene, polybutene and ethylene-vinylacetate copolymers. The blend can also be used in other polymers such as engineering plastics, styrene homo-and copolymers, polyurethanes, elastomers, adhesives, and other organic substrates. The amount to be used may be 0.1%-0.8%.
